Scribbled Fox runs scribbledfox.com and sells astrology diaries and zodiac notebooks. This page explains what we collect, why, who sees it and what you can do about it. Questions go to hello@scribbledfox.com.
What we collect and why
- When you order: your name, delivery address, email address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought. We need these to print your order, deliver it, email you about it and keep the records the law requires.
- Payment: card payments are taken by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never stored on our site. We see only that the payment succeeded.
- An account, if you create one: your login and order history, so you can see past orders.
- The contact form: your name, email address and message, so we can reply.
- How the site is used: our own first-party analytics records visits, pages viewed, the device, browser and country, use of the star sign finder, form activity and any errors the site throws. It runs on our own server, in our own database, and is not shared with anyone. It does not need your consent because it is used only for statistics about the site.
- Google Analytics: only if you accept it in the cookie banner. It helps us understand which pages and products people look at. Say no and it never loads.
The star sign finder
The finder asks for a day and a month, never a year, and never a name. That is all a sun sign needs.
Who we share it with
- Our print and delivery partner, who receives your name, delivery address and the title you ordered, to print and post it.
- Stripe, who processes your payment.
- Google, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Our website provider, who hosts the site and its database in the United Kingdom.
We do not sell or rent your details, and we do not send marketing email.
Cookies
The shop uses cookies to remember your basket and your checkout details while you shop, and one cookie to remember your answer to the cookie banner. Google Analytics sets its own cookies only if you accept it.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting, then deleted. Contact form messages are kept while we deal with them and for a reasonable time afterwards. Analytics records are statistics about the site and are kept to compare one period with another.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@scribbledfox.com and we will respond within a month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
